  • Hello, I just wanted to say thanks so much for the speedy delivery of my new small hive beetle trap! We installed it within minutes of receiving it today, and found it works beautifully! There were well over 50 beetles floating in a pool of peanut oil within minutes time; no sorrow on our part for the death of those little buggers!

Thanks so much for getting this product to us so quickly (I only ordered on Sunday),and for making a product that truly works as advertised. I can't wait to gaze into the oil tomorrow and count the corpses of the horrid beasts that have haunted our hive and made our bees work extensively to try to keep them under control. I suspect our bees are Celebrating this evening with a good night's sleep for a change! A very happy customer! Pat B.

  • Dear Green Bee Hive Team, I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your service and product. I ordered a bottom board / SHB trap on Monday evening and it was waiting on my porch when I got home from work on Wednesday.

I am a first year beekeeper and my poor girls have been through a lot this year, most of it due to my inexperience, but these hive beetles are terrible. I do not want to use dangerous chemicals to treat the pest so I decided to use beetle traps. The first traps I tried were little plastic things that fit down between the frames. When I checked them a few days after they were place, the girl had glued them and the trap was stuck to the bottom of the frame. I spilled oil into the hive, killing a lot of bees and brood compared to the ten beetles I caught in the trap. With your trap, not only do I have a way to provide a little insulation during winter, I don't have to worry about accidently spilling oil into the hive body. I placed the trap about 3 hours ago and I've already caught a ton of beetles, some larva, and debris! I wanted to say thank you. You may have saved my hive. Sincerely, Kelli D.
